High Museum

  • Favorite work of art - Vase, Basalt - I liked the shape of it and the detail.
  • Work of art I liked but wouldn't take home - Levy, Dinachoe - Too big
  • The Winged Genius -- Taught me about the Assyrian Kings in Mesopotamia
  • Work of art that identifies a historic moment in time - Christ Carry - Especially significant since it was celebrated this past friday
  • Work of art that reminded you of someone in your life -"Et in arcadia ego" - Reminded me of a friend who is always looking closely at stuff and trying to figure out the real meaning of it.
  • Difference between folk art and contemporary art - I saw some difference but a lot of it was the same to me. The only real difference is the professionalism of the contemporary art.
  • Part most meaningful - Got to go and hang out with friends

Graffiti

This reminded me of graffiti because of the random subjects and elaborate color

My Photographic Eye

Topic: Books

my right brain, my left brain

My right brain is very crative and inventive, I like to dream about making lots and lots of money and dream of big things for my family as well as myself. But my left brain keeps me down to earth and think that life is too hard for me to just make a ton of money, Im actually going to have to work for it and earn it, which is also fine by me.

I'm having another catharsis

Because I used to not appreciated certain types of art because I didnt understand it, or the meaning of it. I used to hate it because I always thought that I could draw a line and it be considered art, but my perception of that has changed big time because I realise that its a lot more than just drawing things down.

Fashion as art

Fashion and art have a lot of similarities. Fashion uses elements of art like line, color, and shape. Designers are artists because they create art through clothes. When people get dressed they pick their clothes out to match and use the designers art as applied art.

Dance

Dancing is a form of art because it has many different styles. Also because it is a way to express things artistically. Dancers convey this by using line, rhythm, shape, and other art elements.

Art and Human Behavior

There has been many different reasons as to why art and human behavior have somehow been linked together. People like to behave a certain way and when they see a certain piece of artwork that related to them they become inspired by it and want to see more from that artist of just like to admire certain types of art that they can relate to.

Art and Human Nature

Human nature is what we as humans do because we were born that way. Art is the same way in a certain aspect. It is human to like certain things because you just like the way a design is or you like the way a certain painting is painted. It all comes down to how we like certain artworks and the reasons for that are in our DNA.

Art and the Human Condition

Art and the Human condition can be described in many different ways. There are many different factors that lead us to like certain piece of art, and I think that is what the human condition is. Its when you like a certain piece of artwork and think that it is very special. This is what I think is the link between Art and the Human condition.

Art and the human struggle

I think there is a very good connection between art and the human struggle. There has been so many different types of struggles that have been documented in the past such as women artists, and the civil rights movement. The past will never be forgotten but we can learn from what other people had to go through and move on.

Meet this artist I know.

My friend Jenna Rice is a very gifted potter. She can make many different types of ceramics. She has done many different types of artwork that continues to impress me. Im very proud of the work she does and I hope that one day she can get noticed and become very famous at what she does.

Why I believe this film is a work of art.

I think that the Lord of the Rings the fellowship of the ring is a work of art because there are so many different variations of characters. There are things such as wizards, elfs, dwarfs, and goblins and the director did a great job of blending all these things together to create a real original movie. The way Peter Jackson made the scenes look was really cool and I will be eager to see how future directors move on from his example.

I'm having a catharsis

Dont take money for granted. I have been having it too easy the past couple months and now that I have spent like a mad man I have now learned the value of a dollar. I cant be spending money like its easy to get. Its hard to earn money most of the time and I now know that I shouldnt take advantage, and start spending wisely.
